Manufacturing

Our manager inspecting logs to ensure the best quality wood are used in making FIR Technology Saunas.  We are able to take orders for different types of wood depending on your requirements.  Most commonly used are Hemlock, Spruce, Cedar and Cypress.

Logs are stored at factory prior to being sawed. This is to ensure that there is ample supply of raw material to meet demand.
Logs are sawed to required sizes.
Sawed logs are stored in warehouse before being processed. Again, adequate measures are taken to ensure sufficient inventory is on hand to meet demand.
Prior to using wood for manufacturing of saunas, sawed logs are placed in a dryer to dry the wood.  This is to ensure maximum quality that the wood is acclimatized and would not warp.

The wood is removed from the dryer and left in a shaded area for a minimum of 7 days.  This is to ensure further acclimatization and having a more stable wood for maximum quality.

New employees are given detailed monitoring by experienced staff.  Maximum ratio allowed is 1 supervisor overseeing 2 new employees.

Quality control is kept at the highest standard.  The wood is examined piece by piece and any deformed/discolored ones are rejected.  Every single control panel is tested and every CD is tested in an actual heated sauna to ensure ‘0’ defect.
